Field Operations Manager
to join our growing team in Kenna, WV.
Responsibilities
Participate in project turnover meetings with salesperson, estimator and designer.
Lead and manage the project team, with the authority and responsibility to run the project on a day-to-day basis.
Foster customer relationships and work collaboratively with all internal and external groups to effectively meet clients’ needs.
Utilize project turnover checklist to confirm scope of project.
Review project drawings and specifications to gain understanding of project scope.
Initiate project kickoff meeting with other required parties (superintendent, foremen).
Provide foremen with estimated hours and discuss weekly progress of project.
Coordinate with foremen and other departments for proper field labor.
Set objectives and goals with specific measures in conjunction with foreman.
Establish cash flow projections for projects and forecast project financial progress.
Coordinate inspections and subcontractors with the project schedule.
Ensure daily reports are generated by foremen and review for content and accuracy.
Mentor project foremen for successful project implementation.
Price, quote change orders, and submit RFIs.
Manage project financials – ECAC, forecasting, cash flow; assemble invoices (AIA).
Approve material, equipment and subcontractor invoices.
Enforce safety on the job site.
Develop the Construction department and hire future Project Management team.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
7+ years of mechanical project management experience.
Experience with job costing and estimating costs to completion.
Ability to communicate well and develop relationships with co-workers, customers, and subcontractors.
Capable of writing notification letters, RFIs, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, etc.
Strong mechanical plan/spec and design/build knowledge.
Ability to estimate mechanical projects.
Must be able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
