Overview
ISSJ III– Joint Operations Center Analyst (JCOA) – Subject Matter Expert (SME) role at BTS. Location: Ft Bragg, NC. Clearance requirement: Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. Responsibilities
Identify and fuse global indications and operational (I&O) warnings from all operational disciplines to draw conclusions, make inferences, and develop deep understanding spanning tactical to strategic relevance within the assigned portfolio. Produce operational support products, drive battle rhythm events, collaborate with higher, adjacent, and subordinate organizations, inform current and future operations, and advise decision-makers. Serve as the lead interface between higher, adjacent, and subordinate organizations and technical experts with primary analytical responsibility over the assigned portfolio; mentor/guide more junior operators as needed. Demonstrate expert proficiency in producing high-quality technical and non-technical operational products (assessments, papers, presentations) and prepare/present formal or informal briefings. Control and manipulate multi-media display systems and video teleconference systems to enable key leader meetings as required. Participate in critical and sensitive operational analysis and production to support planning and execution of global operations in alignment with higher headquarters priorities and the National Defense Strategy. Plan, research, conduct, review, evaluate, and organize operational analysis to support current or future operations; capture operational insights and manage information in knowledge/data management tools; manage Requests for Information. Produce Commander’s critical operational information reports, briefings, and assessments for internal use and dissemination to relevant audiences in compliance with applicable standards. Identify operational gaps, codify them into operational/collection requirements, and coordinate responses to meet current and anticipated needs. Monitor ongoing operations and programs to ensure synchronization of Operations Center and warfighting efforts; take appropriate actions to meet suspense. Receive and process messages from the National Military Command Center and manage the Emergency Management Notification System (EMNS) for the enterprise; create/edit emergency messages to ensure safety of 3,000+ command members in emergent situations. Apply Department of Defense operational plans and Special Operations Forces knowledge to support missions and communications planning; adhere to directives governing security management of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility and handling of classified material. Required Qualifications
At least eight (8) years of operational/Command and Control experience. At least five (5) years of experience working for or with Special Operations units (e.g., USSOCOM, USASOC, AFSOC, JSOC) with five (5) years in JOC and Command Center Operations. At least five (5) years of experience preparing and delivering operational briefings at O-6 to O-8 level. Comprehensive knowledge of interagency concepts, DoD military C2 operations, areas of responsibility of Combatant Commands, and Operational Reporting procedures. Proficiency in JOC operations, Command Center functions, AMHS messages, recall procedures and deployment processes. Baseline understanding of Common Operational Picture (COP) Tools to maintain JOC displays and facilitate key operational meetings. Proficiency in writing AMHS messages for other Government agencies and commands. Proficiency with standard commercial software applications and web browsers (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Mozilla Firefox). Be deployable for up to 90 days per year on a recurring basis, not to exceed 179 days in a one-year period. Company Overview
