Summary The Electrical Engineer II role is an experienced level position performing routine to moderately complex engineering functions on assigned projects or sub-projects by applying standard mathematical, physical science, and/or engineering techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the design and/or project/process management of new and current projects, products, programs, components, tools, and acceptance equipment under the technical guidance of higher-level technical experts.
Prepare product or project definitions, manufacturing drawings and specifications, operating procedures, and test equipment designs.
Design product and acceptance equipment; develop measurement methods; acquire and designate tooling, cables, laboratory and other equipment to support product acceptance.
Develop test procedures and perform routine to moderately complex engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work to assure product manufacturability.
Conduct audits, analyze processes, products, and inspection records to anticipate, identify, and correct problems and to establish quality levels and trends.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to assist in resolving moderately complex development, production, and acceptance issues.
Prepare evaluation reports, analyze discrepancies, and make recommendations for and initiate improvements for products.
You Must Have
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited university in Engineering or Physics
2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, analytical, or related technical activities
Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and determined by business needs
United States Citizenship
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance if required for the position

Experience with Automated Test Equipment System Design and Development
Demonstrated experience with Software Architecture, Design and Development
Proficiency in Software Development in C# and/or VB.NET
Understanding of Git (GitLab/GitHub) or SubVersion source control systems and CI/CD pipelines
Demonstrated technical and project leadership of small to mid-size teams
Experience with Requirements Management and Verification Planning using DOORS (Next) or equivalent system
Project Planning, Forecasting, and Management expertise, including project deliverables and technology maturation/roadmaps
