This is a highly compensated position with UNCAPPED commission potential. Project Director Responsibilities
The construction Project Director is responsible for estimating, closing the sale of, and managing restoration projects. Work closely with owners and managers of commercial, multifamily, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, and residential properties damaged by man-made or natural disasters to develop cost estimates for restoration, renovation, environmental, and roofing services. Act as the project quarterback, ensuring budgets and projects are on track through completion. Principal Accountabilities
Sales Revenue Profit Margins AR & Collections Managing near-term opportunities Business Development Activity Estimating Proficiency Customer Satisfaction Working with and coordinating with internal teams Detailed Duties & Responsibilities
Sales: Meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales goals; negotiate and execute contracts on behalf of the company; sell all BluSky services; convert opportunities into sales; track and measure sales in CRM and tracking sheets. Revenue: Oversee and expedite revenue production in line with monthly goals; ensure timely deposits, progress, and final billings; provide oversight to the Project Manager in revenue production; review project schedules with the project team. Profit Margins: Develop and own project budgets in line with target margins; ensure budget accuracy and adjust as needed; improve profitability via vendor selection, in-house labor, and material handling; supervise and monitor costs to maintain margin integrity. AR & Collections: Set early expectations for AR processes; understand program invoicing terms and processes; perform weekly collection calls; review aging; maintain DSO at or below 75 days. Manage Near Term Opportunities: Work with clients and claims handling teams to close leads; maintain robust client communication; document communication in BluSky CRM. Business Development Activity: Schedule two BD meetings weekly; participate in events (luncheons, trade shows, dinners); entertain clients as needed to drive business; coordinate with VP on sales pursuits. Estimating Proficiency: Accurate sketching of affected areas; use Matterport; T&M/Xactimate knowledge; justify line items; estimate to meet margins. Customer Satisfaction & Team Coordination
Maintain weekly communication with stakeholders; set expectations; hold teams accountable for updates; check in with customers throughout the project; ensure inclusive email threads. Coordinate with Mitigation and Reconstruction teams; verify scope, authorize work, and review daily T&M; communicate client feedback and changes; ensure project milestones. Other Functional Areas
Mitigation: Coordinate work authorizations; walkthrough with technicians; document changes; review daily T&M with Mitigation ops team; site visit at completion. Reconstruction: Kick-offs, ongoing PM communication, timely change orders, weekly updates. Business Development: Collaborate with BD to enter opportunities into Salesforce; keep BD informed on communications and changes; maintain NTO list. Project Accountants: Oversee work authorizations; coordinate invoicing with the PA; upload change orders. Qualifications & Requirements
5+ years of recent marketing/business development and sales experience in the restoration or construction industry with a proven track record of sales growth. Extensive construction estimating and/or large loss and catastrophe experience. Ability to attend business development networking functions 2-3 evenings a week. Intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills. Experience utilizing Xactimate and other estimating software preferred. Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong knowledge of project management, financial processes, and administration; strong business ethics and ability to perform autonomously. OSHA 10 or 30, CPR and First Aid certifications preferred. Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience related to the role is preferred. Travel
Minimal out of state travel is required; some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training, meetings, or jobs. Compensation
