DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Project Manager - IT. This position is responsible for the designing, configuring and procuring of large complex data/voice systems, network connectivity and infrastructure. It is responsible for identifying the customers’ requirements and translating them into a configuration for data, voice, building, and station wiring, LANs/WANs and DES infrastructure. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department\'s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. All remote work should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is authorized in advance. Responsibilities

Process customer requests (internal ticketing system) for network infrastructure and telecommunication projects initiated/requested by all DES divisions/programs. Schedule and attend assessment meetings, obtain and evaluate quotes from data, voice and cabling vendors; recommend practical solutions. Work with DES Office of Facilities Management (OFM), Real-Estate group, vendors, and other State agencies to procure building/floor/area electrical and wiring plans for new buildings, relocations, and remodels. Work with equipment vendors for order/procurement, installation, user acceptance of network, telephony, telephones, switches, routers, voice gateways, cabling, frames, patch panels, and low voltage cabling; diagnose and repair as needed. Collaborate with DES divisions/programs to define telecommunication call routing/service including Auto Attendant, IVR, Call Center functionality, and soft phones. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)

Telecommunications and Networking including VOIP, data applications, voice; understanding of the OSI model. Microsoft Office suite and Google G-Suite applications. Design, configuration, procurement and installation of telecommunications services. Understanding terms of vendor contracts. Overseeing and coordinating all vendor work to ensure successful and timely installations of network services to DES divisions/programs. Skills

Three (3) to five (5) years of telephony/network hardware/installation experience (including circuits & cabling). Three (3) to five (5) years of project management/coordination experience (or equivalent). Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). Pre-Employment Requirements

Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of experience in project coordination and management (or equivalent). Employee shall obtain and maintain a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card per DES requirements. All newly hired State employees must complete E-Verify. Successful background and reference checks; employment contingent upon completion of the process and any required accommodations. May require driving or use of a vehicle; must possess a valid driver’s license and meet related requirements. Benefits
