Core Services Implementation Specialist

As a key member of our Professional Services Implementation Team, the Core Services Implementation Specialist leads multiple concurrent core software implementation projects. You’ll work directly with credit union clients, third-party vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth transitions and successful go-lives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in client-facing work, understands credit union operations and lending workflows, and enjoys problem-solving in a collaborative, structured environment. This is a full-time, exempt, remote position open to candidates residing in any U.S. state, with the exception of California. Company paid travel is expected up to 50%. The starting salary for this position is $60,000 - $70,000.
Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of project issues and practical challenges faced in the implementation of a new credit union core system, including modules for lending, member services, and accounting operations. Work directly with credit union clients, third-party vendors, and Sharetec team members to deliver successful software implementations. Follow installation standards, project plans, and related documentation to ensure a high level of success during the software implementation process. Analyze and determine business requirements, providing detailed specifications to programming teams under general supervision. Interpret client systems and workflows — including loan origination, transaction processing, and daily balancing — to ensure accuracy and compliance during data migration. Build, convert, troubleshoot, and validate data imports into the Sharetec software from various sources. Verify system setups and configuration changes to ensure they meet customer requirements. Provide client training before, during, and after changes, including instruction on system functionality, daily processing, and the use of lending and member service features. Communicate project progress, potential risks, and implementation challenges to the Project Manager and/or Core Services Manager. Collaborate closely with credit union staff, vendors, and internal resource groups to optimize and enhance project outcomes. Serve as an onsite resource during conversions, answering questions, troubleshooting issues, implementing new procedures, conducting last-minute training, and providing go-live support. Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and continuously refine implementation processes, documentation, and client training materials. Assist other departments with troubleshooting, testing, and training of system functionality as needed. Continuously help design, improve, document, and maintain implementation processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
General Duties And Responsibilities
Complete assigned project tasks by project due dates and maintain a high level of accuracy throughout all implementation phases. Be cross-trained in core areas of credit union operations, including lending, accounting, teller functions, online services, and data management, to effectively support client needs and collaborate with fellow specialists. Conduct onsite and virtual learning experiences to familiarize new clients with the full Sharetec product suite, with emphasis on loan processing, member services, and daily operational workflows. Partner with clients to troubleshoot software-related needs during and after go-live, ensuring a smooth transition to the Sharetec core system. Travel to client sites as needed throughout the project timeline to provide onsite conversion and training support. Work collaboratively with team members across departments—including development, support, and project management—to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction. Contribute to process improvements, documentation updates, and internal training to strengthen team efficiency and overall client experience.
Qualifications
A desire to help teammates to ensure project success An Associates Degree or higher, or related work experience A valid driver’s license the ability to travel both domestically and internationally, rent vehicles, and drive and/or fly and drive to client sites is required 2+ years direct client functions in the financial services industry is preferred Experience working with customer stakeholders to deliver project requirements Experience juggling multiple tasks with varying due dates. Passion for creating high quality user experiences Ownership mentality and ability to handle projects through to completion
