Senior Ground & Mission Systems (G&MS) Engineering Manager

to assist in leading Satellite Systems G&MS development and operations teams based in

Colorado Springs, CO . As a G&MS Senior Manager and Leader you will manage and integrate employee and manager activities across the organization. G&MS consists of engineers and analysts with diverse backgrounds developing ground technology solutions for Government Satellite Systems (GSS) and Commercial Satellite Systems (CSS) programs. You will be the primary interface to GSS and CSS programs and represent G&MS in executive leadership exchanges. You will also coordinate with G&MS ground capabilities and product owners to develop and refine the ground capability road map alignment. Position Responsibilities: Assist in the leadership of the G&MS Organization to ensure successful GSS and CSS programs mission execution, with proper personnel staffing and assignments. Build and maintain senior customer and Boeing leadership communication rhythms. Monitor and manage G&MS performance across all programs, resolve technical and program issues, and control configurations. Lead strategic planning to ensure product growth; support, staff, and manage new business opportunities. Develop and maintain a team of leaders to grow the skills and capabilities of the organization. Provide direct management and technical oversight of engineering, technical approaches, and processes. Manage staffing needs, determine critical skills, forecast, and obtain/manage personnel, facilities, services, equipment, and tools. Champion employee recognition, increase employee satisfaction, and ensure workplace safety. Create and implement ground engineering strategies and processes. Provide coaching, counseling, mentoring, and developmental opportunities for employees. Execute critical program staffing and redeployment activities. Develop and execute talent management activities, training, and development plans. Develop employee engagement activities to motivate and engage the workforce. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s Degree or higher. 10+ years of engineering experience or 10+ years of experience in program management of technical aerospace programs. 5+ years of experience leading or managing cross-functional or cross-business unit teams. Experience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systems. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in ground system design, development, or test. Experience with systems engineering processes. Proven experience in executive-level communication and presentations. Experience managing programs that meet budget, schedule, and performance requirements. Experience using engineering processes and developing program plans to meet objectives within budget and schedule. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all management levels, with customers and partners. Master of Science in an engineering discipline (preferred). Previous management experience. Ability to build an inclusive, transparent, and trusting environment. Leadership skills to influence positive outcomes and mentor teams. Experience leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams; active career guidance. Ability to hire high-performance talent and develop leaders; help underperforming members. Boeing offers a Total Rewards package including base pay and variable compensation, with eligible benefits such as health insurance, savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and time-off programs. Pay is based on experience, qualifications, market factors, and location. Summary pay range: $178,500 - $241,500. Application Deadline:
