Duties and responsibilities for this position are:
Responsibilities of this position include the following:
Enter and validate employee data (e.g. direct deposits, W-4, etc.) into SAP for payroll processing.
Create and deliver final paychecks for terminating employees.
Enter garnishments, support orders, and tax levies into SAP from reports and forms.
Provide customer service support to employees and retirees with payroll related questions.
Review list of rejected bank transactions, research and determine reasons and provide resolution.
Detect and correct erroneous timekeeping entries based on established and standard practices.
Assist to train and orient newer employees and stakeholders.
Prepare standard reports and other documents, at times providing ad hoc reporting as needed.
Handle confidential data sensitively and professionally.
Requirements for this position include the following:
High School Diploma or equivalent; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of two years’ experience in payroll processing, ideally on an HR team with large employer (2000 or more).
Elevated knowledge of payroll related policies, practices, and procedures.
Ability to pay attention to detail and determine variances and resolution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with all levels of an organization; ability to work as a member of a team.
Proficient with the use of personal computers and applications including databases, accounting systems, and Microsoft suite of tools (excel, word).
