What You’ll Do
The duties listed below are illustrations of the work that may be performed in this position. They are not intended to prescribe or restrict assignments that management may make. Generate revenue according to the Area Financial plan as a front-line consultant. Participate in the strategic planning process; develop a plan for the area for short-term and long-term success through forecasting, budgeting, and staffing with input from other business leaders. Manage a dedicated area with accountability for quality, productivity, and revenue results. Provide feedback to leadership and employees and adjust plans and staffing as needed. Work closely with area leadership and other leaders to ensure consistent processes and efficient communication. Develop employees in the area to meet compliance requirements, client expectations of quality of service, and future succession planning through training, coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback. Network to develop business opportunities and potential future employees. Meet regularly with current clients to maintain and enhance relationships. Actively prospect for major client opportunities, propose significant projects, and engage in business development activities. What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (strongly preferred). 10+ years of experience in the industry preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Previous supervisory experience of consultant-level employees. Strong knowledge of the industry. Strong leadership skills, including coaching and counseling, enabling others to act and developing a service- and team-focused culture among reports. The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and negotiation skills. The ability to develop, plan and execute strategies. The ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment juggling multiple projects and priorities. The ability to work well with all levels of Project Managers, build partnerships, and direct teams. The ability to travel regionally on a regular basis. This role involves both physical and mental demands and may be performed in offices, construction sites, and confined spaces such as elevator pits. Tasks often require frequent movement in multiple directions. Lerch Bates will provide reasonable accommodations upon request through Human Resources. Physical Demands : Regular sitting, talking, and hearing in meetings and by phone. Navigate tight spaces, climb ladders, move around construction sites, take measurements, and travel by car, air, or rail. May involve working at heights and in confined spaces, using hands for tasks like typing and operating elevator components, and applying up to 30 lbs of force. Close visual attention is required. Mental Demands : Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Interpret complex information, apply mathematical and logical reasoning, quickly learn new skills, and manage detailed, multitask workloads under shifting deadlines. Regular interaction with executives, colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders is expected. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug test. The drug test may screen for marijuana, regardless of state or local laws.
