Orthopedic Specialists of SW Florida has been a cornerstone of orthopedic care in the Fort Myers area for over 24 years. Our practice includes a team of 18 fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons specializing in various subspecialties. We offer onsite Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy, MRI, and digital X-ray, prioritizing patient care and high standards of service. Our 60,000 square-foot facility incorporates leading-edge technology to provide optimal care for bone, joint, muscle and spine problems. Our office includes a full Physical Therapy and Occupational/Hand Therapy division, coordinating with physicians to provide non-operative, preoperative, postoperative and preventive care. Responsibilities
Obtain, compile, and record comprehensive patient medical data Serve as the 1st assistant in surgery, ensuring equipment readiness and maintaining surgical skills through ongoing education Manage post-operative care, including writing orders, family communication, and performing post-op procedures Oversee discharge planning, dictate summaries, prescribe medications, and confirm follow-up appointments Monitor and report changes in patient condition, interpreting diagnostic test results Order and conduct diagnostic tests, prescribe treatments, and maintain detailed patient records Collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient care assessments, planning, and evaluation Qualifications
Florida license as Physician Assistant or APRN 2-5 years of professional clinical experience Benefits
