Accountable for performing day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities where state and federal laws/regulations allow. Ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers within the guidelines of company policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics. Oversee the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel. Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians. Make decisions regarding performance management including discipline and termination. Customer Experience

Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer complaints, respond to requests in a timely manner, and answer non-clinical questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Model and share customer service best practices. Develop strong relationships with customers by anticipating needs and proactively offering services to provide the best experience when using the pharmacy. Enhance customer experience by increasing focus on healthcare services. Operations

Assist the pharmacist in delivering patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed by law. Complete patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision (where allowed by law). Assist with healthcare service offerings including vaccines, health screenings, and other services permitted by law. Within company policies and applicable laws/regulations, delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy. Ensure tasks are completed on time and maintain efficient workflow. Prepare and file reports and records required by the company and government agencies as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or pharmacist. Manage core pharmacy workflow and drive excellence in operations. Coordinate daily schedule, allocate hours, and ensure the pharmacy is clean, neat, orderly, and stocked. Assist with inventory management and recordkeeping under pharmacist direction. Ensure compliance with business administrative activities and licensure requirements where applicable. Maintain recordkeeping and security safeguards in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager. Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policies during applicable dispensing activities. Monitor asset protection and report concerns that could compromise pharmacy security. Communicate prescription errors to the pharmacist and participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program. Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims, resolve customer issues, prevent payment rejections, and follow up with insurance companies and providers as needed. Support store and pharmacy management in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service. Coordinate community outreach and immunization clinic allocations as directed by the Pharmacy Manager. Build and sustain relationships with retail partnerships. People & Performance Management

Lead performance management of technicians, including discipline decisions and recommendations. Apply constructive discipline policies and ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Maintain accountability for attendance and timeliness and drive team engagement and performance improvements. Hire, onboard, train, and schedule technicians. Monitor training completion and follow company policies for scheduling and training. Identify gaps in operational knowledge and support team members through hands-on training or modules. Monitor licensure, registrations, and certifications for pharmacy staff to ensure compliance. Utilize Walgreens resources to verify licensure status. Ensure proper procedures for selection, recruitment, record retention, and training as required by policy and laws. Training & Personal Development

Maintain PTCB certification and applicable state certifications/registrations. Advance knowledge related to pharmacy and healthcare and pursue required certifications and education credits. Engage in professional development, seek feedback, and use mentorship for growth. Communication

Communicate with the pharmacy team and relay messages from support centers or other key emails as required. Participate in store/pharmacy meetings and regular check-ins with the Store Manager. Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations). Preferred Qualifications

Previous people management/leadership experience. Previous Walgreens experience with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.
