Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities where allowed by state and federal laws/regulations; ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers within authorized policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics. Lead selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel. Manage training, coaching, and performance of technicians. Make decisions regarding performance management including discipline and termination. Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving complaints, and answering non-clinical questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Build strong relationships by anticipating needs and promoting services to enhance the pharmacy experience. Assist pharmacist in patient care activities including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation, counting, and verification of medications where permitted. Complete patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision and support health services offered within legal allowances. Delegate non-clinical work in the pharmacy under company policies and legal guidelines; ensure on-time task completion and efficient workflow. Prepare and file reports and records as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or pharmacist; manage core pharmacy workflow and daily activity scheduling; ensure the pharmacy is clean, organized, and stocked. Maintain inventory, comply with recordkeeping and security requirements, and ensure proper operation of department equipment. Manage annual inventory preparation and non-clinical patient calls. Drive adoption of new technology and processes; lead action planning with the team; collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to maintain security and proper recordkeeping. Adhere to company policy on Good Faith Dispensing during all dispensing activities; understand and apply the elements of Good Faith Dispensing. Support asset protection practices, monitor for diversion, report concerns to the Pharmacy Manager, and communicate prescription errors per company policy and quality programs. Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve customer issues and prevent payment rejections; follow up with insurers and providers and participate in third-party audits. Support the Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service. Manage Community Outreach Portal and coordinate pharmacist assignments to off-site immunization clinics and events; build and sustain relationships with retail partners. People & Performance Management

Lead performance management of technicians, including discipline decisions within policy; monitor attendance, timeliness, and overall team engagement; drive improvements through action planning. Hire, on-board, train, and schedule technicians; ensure timely training compliance and adherence to company policies. Identify gaps in operations knowledge and support team members with training or learning modules; monitor licensure and certifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure license and certification statuses are active; use company resources for documentation as needed. Ensure recruitment, record retention, and training procedures comply with policy and legal requirements. Training & Personal Development

Maintain PTCB certification or state-required certification/registration; pursue ongoing professional development and training as required by the company. Engage in development opportunities, receive feedback, and seek mentorship from the Healthcare Supervisor or Pharmacy Manager. Communication

Communicate with the pharmacy team and relay messages from support centers or other required communications; participate in store/pharmacy meetings and regular check-ins with the Store Manager. Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations). Preferred Qualifications

Previous people management/leadership experience. Previous work experience with Walgreens with an exceeding performance evaluation.
