Position Overview: Autodesk is a leading global technology company that creates software products and services for the architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, automotive, media and entertainment industries. As we expand our Enterprise Customer Success operations in AMER, we are seeking a talented Sr Business Consultant to join our Americas AEC Technical Advisory team to work with Autodesk’s largest customers. This is a remote role. You will report to the Manager of Consulting services for Buildings and Infrastructure in the Americas.
Responsibilities
Work closely with clients to develop digital strategies, define criteria for success, assess current processes and project performance, create business value justification for initiatives, and prepare to implement solutions that produce meaningful business results.
Define approaches to the application of BIM and emerging technologies to Building Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) projects for Autodesk’s largest customers.
Define a strategy (Customer Success Plan) for using Consulting Services and customer engagements to implement strategies and solutions.
Build and maintain high-value client relationships based on the ability to solve business challenges.
Collaborate with the Autodesk Technical Advisory Project Management team to ensure delivery against the Customer Success Plan.
Shape the Autodesk Technical Advisory service offering with regard to MEP and how it is delivered.
Collaborate with internal Autodesk specialists and external partners to support and shape Autodesk product offerings.
Be a trusted partner to customers and internal Autodesk teams; guide transformational change using change management methodologies.
Lead facilitated workshops with Autodesk customers to identify solution opportunities and guide understanding of solution paths.
Lead or help create high-quality design, engineering, and operational management for customers.
Define and track the value of solutions delivered to customers and document the impact of customer investment in Autodesk Consulting.
Contribute to the development of new and expanded offerings as part of a comprehensive consulting delivery portfolio.
Build the Autodesk Consulting brand by demonstrating expertise, presenting at industry events, and publishing articles and position papers on industry trends.
Lead project delivery efforts, ensuring team members perform to quality; advise on project estimation and participate in business development activities.
Travel up to 30% as needed to Autodesk events and customer meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture, Construction, Engineering or related field.
At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Buildings - MEP industry (Autodesk products highly preferred – Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud), focusing on development, management and/or delivery of digital design, engineering, and management solutions across a business enterprise.
At least 3 years of experience in business improvement initiatives leveraging digital solutions.
Evidence of strategic thinking, innovation, program management, change management, business process optimization, and communication skills.
Ability to facilitate customer workshops and drive decisions; capable of working with diverse technical, sales, and project management teams.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience conducting workshops and delivering effective presentations to teams and customers.
Ability to translate complex topics into language understandable by non-technical audiences.
Willingness to travel up to 30% for Autodesk events and customer meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Building MEP design, engineering, construction, and management practices; focus areas include Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.
Experience defining and delivering on business strategies in these areas.
Advanced experience with Autodesk products such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, and Autodesk Navisworks.
Experience driving change at the enterprise level.
