A company specializing in calibration, inspection, and repair is hiring a Lab Calibration Technician working onsite at their Chicago facility.

Requirements

Good level of accuracy

Mechanically astute technician

Ability to multitask and manage your time well

A friendly and positive attitude

Key Job Functions

Will be able to perform calibration

Basic repair of precision test equipment

Remaining focused on utilizing mechanical dimensional measuring instruments

To be successful in this role, the following experience is preferred:

Pressure, torque, thermodynamics, weight/force, dimensional measurements including ULMs, micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, and other distance/height gages.

Previous work involving optical comparators and CMMs is also valuable.

If you have electrical or electronic calibration experience, please also consider this position.

Practical experience in evaluating tolerance gages, with the added ability to research and adapt varying modalities.

Being familiar with ISO 17025 and gauge management software is a plus.

A High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a calibration role are essential.
