Position: Cardiac Sonographer - Days
Location: Swedish Hospital, Chicago
Full Time - 40 hours/week
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30pm, Rotating Weekend & Holidays
Required Travel: No
Hourly Pay Range:
$33.35 - $51.69 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
What you will need:
Associates in Applied Science degree is required. Course work or curriculum of previous experience should include: ultrasounds physics, anatomy and physiology, electrocardiography, cardiovascular pathophysiology, cardiovascular hemodynamic principles, cardiac history-taking, key aspects of cardiorespiratory physical diagnosis.
At least 6 months in 2-D and M-Mode echocardiography, preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification required.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) license through either ARDMS as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 2 years of start date.

JOB SUMMARY To perform echocardiography to evaluate heart motion and heart disease.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews all requests for echocardiography procedures, consults with Medical Director of the Echocardiography Lab, and schedules patients.
Performs echocardiographic procedures as requested, which include at minimum 2-D M-Mode, Doppler/Color Flow and Dobutamine Stress Echo. Expedites completion of each procedure, and ensures that an exam worksheet is completed accurately and given to the interpreting physician.
Any other function assigned by Manager, Cardiology Services or Lead Cardiac Sonographer.
