Overview
LHH is assisting a fantastic boutique law firm in its search for a self-motivated and experienced Construction Defect Litigation Associate to join a leading law firm in Orlando, Florida. This role involves representing plaintiffs in complex construction defect cases, advocating for community associations and commercial property owners, and other clients who have suffered from construction-related issues.
Construction Litigation Associate
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of construction defect litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
Collaborate with expert witnesses, including construction professionals and engineers, to build strong cases.
Provide clients with clear and timely communication regarding case progress and legal options.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in construction defect litigation (candidates with commercial litigation experience are encouraged to apply).
Strong understanding of construction law, defect claims, and related legal principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation and client service.
Salary and Benefits
Base salary ranging from $100,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience.
$100,000+ bonus
potential (based on productivity beyond billable hour requirements).
1800 billable hour requirement.
