Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems presents an opportunity for a Principal Engineer Systems Test – Test Analyst (GAITS) (25-348) to join our team of professionals. This role, based at Schriever Space Force Base or in Colorado Springs, CO, supports the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not offer relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options. Position
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and control networked sensors and weapon systems. C2BMC provides a layered missile defense capability and acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems globally and locally. Responsibilities
Work as part of the C2BMC-G test team to test the C2BMC-G product and its interactions with external entities Verify and validate the product through testing activities Coordinate with external partners for system-to-system tests Collaborate with Development teams to understand system improvements Test the C2BMC-G product against requirements Document and verify bugs Participate in system-of-system test events to validate the product Analyze test results to identify areas for improvement and help enhance the C2BMC-G product for future operations Note: may require working outside standard hours during event execution and occasional travel; travel is expected to be limited Essential Functions
Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive solutions throughout the system development life cycle Proven history of delivering results across all aspects of the System Engineers "V" model, emphasizing testing complex systems against specified requirements and warfighter needs Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to diverse stakeholders Skilled in developing and executing test plans to achieve project goals Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, required to start Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs Experience in engineering new capabilities, including designing, developing, testing, and integrating complex systems Ability to create detailed and repeatable tests to verify system performance and functionality Deep understanding of system development processes and principles and ability to communicate capabilities and requirements to stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements and deadlines; develop innovative solutions Preferred Qualifications
Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) Experience with test-driven development and continuous integration Understanding of software architecture design and SOA principles Familiarity with Windows and Unix/Linux Ability to review and provide feedback on code (peer reviews) Basic data analysis skills and understanding of algorithms Experience in developing messaging interfaces Knowledge Of

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00 The above salary range is a general guideline; base offers consider factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may be applicable; long-term incentives may be available for VP/Director roles. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, holidays, and PTO.
