$100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Role Summary

The Senior Metal Trader will

found and lead CHRC’s metals business line . This role requires a seasoned trader with deep industry relationships who can leverage our existing infrastructure to scale metals trading profitably. This is not a “maintenance” role — it’s a

business-building opportunity

with the resources of a top recycling company behind you. The right candidate will thrive on both the entrepreneurial challenge of building something new and the discipline of executing trades with precision. Key Responsibilities

Build and grow CHRC’s metals trading business from the ground up. Leverage CHRC’s

direct access to most MRFs in the U.S.

to secure supply. Utilize CHRC’s

export platform and logistics expertise

to develop overseas buyers. Establish and expand domestic buyer/smelter/foundry relationships. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and logistics with focus on profitability and service. Own the full transaction lifecycle: supply acquisition → customer sale → execution → payment/collection. Develop long-term supplier/buyer programs that create recurring GP. Collaborate with CHRC’s paper, plastics, and rolls teams to cross-sell and maximize value across the enterprise. Report progress directly to the President CHRC; manage P&L for metals trading. Qualifications

5–10+ years of metals trading experience (ferrous and/or nonferrous). Strong book of existing supplier and buyer relationships. Entrepreneurial mindset — proven ability to grow or build a business line. Demonstrated success in both sourcing supply and creating demand. Track record of profitable deals and effective collections. Strong financial acumen and operational discipline. Comfortable operating in a high-accountability, performance-driven environment.
