We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Financial Analyst
to join a respected healthcare organization with over a century of service excellence in the Washington, D.C. community. This role supports the Finance Department by providing key financial analysis and insights that drive sound decision-making and operational success. This is a contract role expected for 6+ months. Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and validate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Support capital request ROI and service line analysis in partnership with senior finance leaders. Review monthly operating statements to identify and explain budget variances. Extract and analyze financial data from ERP and clinical accounting systems. Develop and distribute management reports including overtime, FTE, AP, and service agreements. Assist in the design of financial models and tools for improved reporting and forecasting. Support the annual budgeting process and educate department leaders on variance analysis. Complete special financial projects and ad hoc analysis as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration. Hospital industry required includes acute care, medical center, hospital or inpatient care - no exceptions. Minimum of 3 years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or related administrative work. Strong understanding of budgetary policies, forecasting, and variance analysis. Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
