Travel Nursing Job Details
Location: Tacoma, WA 98405 (Washington nursing jobs)
Healthcare Setting: Birth Center
34 Labor & Delivery beds, 18 Postpartum beds
Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
Start Date: November 17, 2025
End Date: March 28, 2026
Contract Duration: 19 weeks
Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm
7:30am)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend (variable based on need)
Orientation: Comprehensive facility and unit-specific orientation
Free Parking: Badge access in designated areas
Scrubs: Provided by facility
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2350 – $2520
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent high-acuity Labor & Delivery RN experience (5 years preferred)
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Active Registered Nurse license in Washington State or compact eligible
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN) certification
EPIC EMR experience required
Ability to circulate in the OR, triage OB patients, and interpret fetal monitoring strips
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive care to high-acuity laboring and postpartum patients, including those with hypertension, preterm labor, C-sections, and multiple births
Manage labor and delivery of high-risk OB patients, including triage and cervical checks
Circulate in the operating room for C-sections and other procedures
Interpret and monitor fetal heart rate strips
Support newborn transition and recovery post-delivery
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (CNAs, scrub techs, physicians, respiratory therapists)
Float to antepartum or postpartum units as needed within scope and experience
Document all patient care in EPIC EMR system
Participate in self-scheduling and adhere to fair holiday and weekend rotations
