Client Development Manager - Industrial Manufacturing. This U.S. based position offers compensation in the range of $95,000-$110,000 per year, plus uncapped commission. The compensation range applies to candidates located within the United States. The Client Development Manager (CDM) will support the Industrial Manufacturing segment. The ideal candidate will be located within the U.S., preferably within a reasonable distance of an airport. Travel to support sales activity and industry conferences is required (up to 25%). What will you do in the role?

The CDM for Industrial Manufacturing, Sustainability Services is market-facing and responsible for selling sustainability services consulting and technology offerings to executive levels of Commercial and Industrial companies within an assigned market segment. The role enables clients to drive continuous business performance improvement by merging sustainability expertise with Schneider Electric’s technology. It helps clients build Climate Change / Climate Risk programs based on immutable data and achieve emission-reduction targets by leveraging Schneider’s efficiency, renewable energy, and supply chain sustainability services. Work with the Inside Sales lead generation team to uncover new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, qualifying, and closing techniques Prospect and convert leads into profitable, ongoing business relationships Develop customized solutions using Schneider Electric’s portfolio of offerings to address customer needs Develop long-term relationships by understanding customers’ strategic needs and selling new solutions to existing clients Lead the development of sales proposals, coordinating with solutions architects, operations, delivery resources, and other sales and management resources as needed Meet targeted personal performance goals as determined by leadership Negotiate and close contracts for Climate Change, Climate Risk, and other sustainability services at enterprise levels Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to improve offerings and go-to-market strategies Communicate with business decision-makers to identify needs and market opportunities Lead and move prospects through the sales cycle Maintain prospect CRM data (Salesforce.com) Essential Skills and Qualifications

Minimum bachelor’s degree required. Not an early-career role. Proven experience selling professional services to executives at leading Commercial and Industrial companies in the US Experience in energy and sustainability consulting, cleantech / renewable energy advisory, business services (outsourcing), or environmental services is preferred Extensive experience in enterprise sales with a track record of success in energy and sustainability services Proven ability to navigate long, complex sales cycles (6–12 months) in a consultative role Working understanding of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, supply chain sustainability challenges, and science-based reduction targets is preferred Self-starter who can rapidly understand client demands and Schneider Electric solutions and align them to meet targets Strong research and lead generation experience with persistence in following up leads Experience working with Fortune 1000 companies at multiple management levels Ability to negotiate contracts and scopes of work with prospective clients Strong closing ability with experience closing multiple five- and six-figure deals Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com CRM Applications: You must submit an online application to be considered for any position with us.
