Overview Senior Supervisor, Material Handling & Classification – Plasma Supply Chain (2nd Shift). Duration: 2 Months (Contract). 1st Shift - 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM; 2nd Shift - 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM.

Position Overview Senior Supervisor, Material Handling & Classification – Plasma Logistics Center

provides leadership and oversight for the receipt, handling, verification, storage, inventory control, and distribution of human blood plasma while ensuring compliance with company procedures, cGMP standards, and OSHA regulations. The role supports departmental budgeting, resource allocation, and planning activities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the receipt, verification, storage, and distribution of plasma to ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to SOPs, cGMPs, and OSHA standards.

Ensure all plasma shipments, production units, and lots meet applicable quality, storage, and production requirements and are delivered on time to the appropriate customers.

Oversee the proper removal and disposition of non-conforming plasma units in accordance with documented procedures.

Recruit, train, and directly supervise non-exempt staff in plasma operations; monitor performance, maintain quality standards, and promote effective team performance.

Develop, review, and maintain departmental SOPs to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements and accuracy in process documentation.

Manage and coordinate all inventory transactions related to the storage and movement of raw plasma, maintaining accuracy levels at agreed-upon targets.

Partner with internal and external stakeholders including manufacturing, freight carriers, and quality operations on logistics and quality-related matters.

Collaborate with the Quality Operations group to evaluate incoming plasma for acceptance, discrepancies, or non-conformance.

Assist departmental management with annual budget preparation and monthly expense tracking against budgeted line items.

Support management in ensuring appropriate personnel, equipment, and materials are budgeted and allocated to meet operational requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of manufacturing and logistics processes related to raw plasma handling and inventory management.

In-depth knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and OSHA regulations.

Proven leadership, independent decision-making, and communication skills (written and verbal).

Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

High attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.

Experience & Education

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, materials planning, or distribution (preferably related to raw plasma or biopharmaceuticals).

Experience in a regulated, cGMP-compliant environment strongly preferred.

Supervisory experience managing non-exempt employees.
