HVAC Test Laboratory Engineering Technician Allied Air Enterprises, a division of Lennox International, unites seven trusted comfort brands—Armstrong Air, AirEase, Concord, Ducane, Allied, Allied Commercial, and Magic‑Pak—to power residential and commercial HVAC solutions at scale.

Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr - $62,000.00/yr

What you’ll do

Assemble and operate lab rigs and HVAC instrumentation per documented test plans.

Execute performance, reliability, and safety testing on complete units and individual components.

Use basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting to support setups and keep equipment running.

Calibrate and perform routine care on sensors, data systems, and test benches.

Capture, analyze, and report results with precision and in alignment with lab standards.

Adhere strictly to lab procedures, safety rules, and quality protocols.

Help diagnose anomalies on units under test and in lab systems.

Keep the lab clean, organized, and audit-ready.

Contribute to continuous improvement for processes, fixtures, and documentation.

Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure test integrity and product validation.

Provide technical feedback and data to factory and field partners to boost product performance and reliability.

What you’ll bring

Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field (preferred).

1–3 years in HVAC testing, electrical troubleshooting, or technical maintenance.

Hands-on familiarity with HVAC systems, controls, and laboratory instrumentation.

Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and formal test procedures.

Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy.

Basic computer fluency (Excel, data acquisition tools, etc.).

Physical requirement:

Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 lbs).

Compensation and Benefits Compensation : This is a salaried non-exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $50,000 - $62,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the Company’s applicable plan.
