Overview
Mechanical Engineer - Lunar Terrain Vehicle role at Intuitive Machines. This position involves working on cutting edge programs and space-based projects as part of our multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities
Design parts for the various space-based vehicles, rovers, lunar landers, satellites, Earth reentry vehicles, orbital transfer vehicles, etc. Generate drawings, piece part and assembly drawings using CAD. Generate lifting and operational procedure drawings and models. Assist in developing manufacturing products. Qualifications
B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline; or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Experience with CAD software, Creo or SolidWorks. CAD design experience, portfolio requested but not required. Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and related standards. Experience with Microsoft Office suite. Understanding of design methodology, basics of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and manufacturing technique. Experience with carbon fiber or carbon fiber sandwich panels preferred. Familiarity or exposure to NASA and Mil Spec standards. US EEO Statement
