As an Environmental Customer Coordinator you will be responsible for servicing customer accounts by managing inquiries regarding Arcwood services, including cost and proper documentation to ensure customer satisfaction. Essential Functions & Requirements
Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies and maintaining safe practices at all times Utilize understanding of waste generator requirements to provide insights to customers Manage customer inquiries regarding Arcwood services, costs, and documentation; escalate issues as needed Build sustainable relationships and establish trust with customers through routine communication Review, revise, and complete waste profile forms; review SDS and select proper RCRA hazardous waste codes; submit waste stream approval to the appropriate department Develop basic chemical knowledge as it pertains to various waste types and disposal options Use tools to conduct research and partner with cross-functional teams to solve customer challenges; coordinate workflows to proper departments Provide follow-up on approvals to perform scheduling promptly Review, print, and send new quotes to customers; obtain signed copies of quotes Submit samples with required documentation for testing and waste approval as needed Review billing information for accuracy prior to finalization; resolve billing discrepancies as needed Maintain accountability for inside sales to increase revenue in assigned territory in coordination with Sales Secure disposal outlets for customer waste managed directly to third-party sites, including approvals, pricing, and logistics Conduct profit and cost analysis on new and current business; identify opportunities to increase margins Receive waste orders and complete shipping documentation, manifest, and labels as necessary Manage non-conforming waste situations, including manifest discrepancies Facilitate customer tours of Arcwood facilities as requested Maintain thorough and updated customer records Ability to travel to assigned territory annually, up to 10% Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization Education
Bachelor's degree (required); degree in environmental science or other technical field (preferred) Experience
2+ years of relevant experience in environmental, manufacturing, industrial, or customer service sectors (required) -OR- Associates degree plus 2 years of relevant experience in environmental, manufacturing, industrial, or customer service sectors (required) Internal Experience
Internal candidates must have 1+ years of successful experience within their current role, evidenced by a Meets Expectations evaluation score Competencies
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers Strong verbal communication and active listening Organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Self-directed with the ability to work on multiple projects Basic knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws and regulations pertaining to Environmental Services and DOT/RCRA regulations Proficiency with computer programs and applications Regular and predictable attendance Benefits, Compensation, & Workforce Diversity
