Accounts Payable Clerk
to join a growing team near Torrance, CA. This is a
temp-to-hire
position with a potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in
full-cycle accounts payable
and will be responsible for handling all aspects of the AP process in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the financial success of the organization. Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Accounts Payable:
Process vendor invoices, including reviewing, coding, and ensuring the accuracy of payment terms. Payment Processing:
Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills, both by check and electronic transfers (ACH, wire). Vendor Management:
Maintain positive relationships with vendors, handle inquiries, and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable. Reconciliation:
Perform regular reconciliations of AP accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded and discrepancies are identified and resolved. Month-End Closing:
Assist with month-end close, including preparation of accounts payable accruals and reports. Reporting:
Prepare and process payment runs and assist with various AP-related reports. Expense Reports:
Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies. Data Entry & Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized AP files, ensuring timely updates of vendor and payment data. Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all AP processes comply with company policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting standards. Additional Duties:
Support other accounting functions as needed, including assisting with audits or ad hoc projects. Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of
full-cycle accounts payable
experience in a corporate environment. Education:
High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Skills: Proficiency with
Microsoft Excel
and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.). Attention to detail
and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Organizational & time management
skills. Strong communication
skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with vendors and internal teams. Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of basic
accounting principles
and
general ledger . Previous experience in
vendor reconciliation
and troubleshooting discrepancies is a plus. Temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time employment after the probationary period. Competitive salary up to
