Overview
Our client, a growing organization in Newark, NJ, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to support its finance team. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position offering the opportunity for long-term placement with a stable and collaborative company. The ideal candidate has a solid background in accounts payable, strong attention to detail, and experience working with SAP or NetSuite in a fast-paced accounting environment. Responsibilities
Process and record accounts payable transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting procedures Review, verify, and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports Prepare and process vendor payments including checks, ACH, and wire transfers Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies Generate and maintain AP reports such as aging and accrual schedules Ensure accuracy and compliance with tax documentation (W-9) and sales tax regulations Create and manage purchase orders as needed Partner with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment or invoice issues Support additional finance and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications
4+ years of accounts payable experience; corporate or manufacturing experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience with SAP or NetSuite required Skilled in ACH and check payment processing Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Clear and professional communication skills Monday–Friday, standard business hours with flexible start time MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
