Key Responsibilities
Own and drive strategic workstreams that support NEET’s growth and development priorities.
Develop high-quality materials and analyses that support project approvals, leadership decisions, and long-term planning.
Coordinate and conduct strategic assessments of transmission opportunities, including financial modeling, regulatory analysis, and operational feasibility.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and clarity across all phases of project evaluation and execution.
Identify and implement best practices and technologies, including AI and other digital tools, to enhance strategic capabilities and execution.
Position Description NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) seeks a bold and driven Senior Strategy Manager – Transmission Projects to take ownership of critical strategic initiatives. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on solving complex problems, driving outcomes, and shaping the transmission business.
You will be responsible for leading the development and execution of NEET’s growth strategy and owning workstreams that influence major decisions and investments. Activities include go-to-market strategy design, cross-functional project assessment, and shepherding multi-billion dollar transmission deals through the full approval lifecycle from concept to due diligence and approval.
This role requires a strategic doer with curiosity, critical thinking, ownership, and accountability. You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders and subject matter experts to drive alignment and momentum in a dynamic environment. Success will be measured by the ability to turn strategy into action.
This position reports to NEET leadership and offers exposure to senior leaders across NextEra Energy.
Key Success Metrics
Strategic deliverables are high-quality, error-free, and submitted on time, meeting NEET and NEER content, clarity, and impact standards.
Transmission project approvals advance smoothly through internal processes with minimal delays or rejections due to gaps in analysis or stakeholder alignment.
Leaders receive clear, actionable insights enabling timely decision-making across development priorities.
Strategic initiatives demonstrate measurable progress and contribute to NEET’s growth objectives.
Cross-functional collaboration results in strong alignment across development, commercial, regulatory, and operational teams.
Required Qualifications
Experience in the energy industry, infrastructure development, or other capital-intensive sectors of comparable complexity
Familiarity with regulatory environments (e.g., FERC, RTOs, ISOs) or ability to quickly learn and navigate these frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or equivalent master’s degree, or advanced experience in management, strategy, or finance
Experience at a top-tier consulting firm or comparable organization, ideally within energy or infrastructure practice
