Overview
Position: Precision Dimensional & NDT Level II Specialist (Industrial Pumps). Employment: Full-time, onsite in Chicago, IL 60607. Business Focus: Nuclear sector components and pump assemblies. Base pay range: $35.00/hr - $45.00/hr.

Role Snapshot
Title: Precision Dimensional & NDT Level II Specialist (Industrial Pumps)
Employment: Full-time | Onsite in Chicago, IL 60607
Business Focus: Nuclear sector components and pump assemblies
Compensation: $35.00–$45.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Perform dimensional inspections on large, critical pump components using manual, analog precision instruments.
Use micrometers (including up to 60 inches), gauges, and calipers for complex measurement tasks.
Conduct NDT methods (PT, UT, RT, MT) and hardness inspections on pumps.
Calibrate and verify measurement and test equipment used during inspection and testing.
Record and manage data in the Epicor ERP system; generate reports for incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
Follow nuclear documentation practices and travelers/job requisitions with precision.
Required Background
5+ years of inspection experience in a custom precision machining environment.
5+ years of hands-on work with analog measuring tools (micrometers, gauges, calipers; inside/outside/depth).
Proficiency reading blueprints and interpreting tolerances.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
Proficient with computers and MS Office; able to prioritize and take direction at all levels.
High School Diploma.
Preferred Skills
2+ years of NDT experience (UT, PT, MT, RT) preferred.
Experience with Faro Arm or Romer Arm.
