Senior Tax Manager (Hybrid/Remote) - Partner Track

Overview
We’re a growing mid-sized CPA firm based in Wakefield, MA, hiring a Senior Tax Manager to lead with integrity, collaborate with purpose, and grow toward partnership. Our culture emphasizes work-life balance, autonomy, innovation, and exceptional client service. We offer a hybrid work model with flexible arrangements and leadership that listens to your input. Outside of tax season, expect a balanced 35–40 hours per week with a 4-day workweek during the summer. During peak season (February–April), hours rise to 55–60 per week. This role supports a collaborative, tech-forward, and paperless team environment. What you will be doing and qualifications are described below. Responsibilities
Prepare and review annual income tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations Advise clients on complex tax and financial matters Foster strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service through a collaborative approach, while staying ahead of evolving industry technology trends Collaborate with affiliated professionals and strategic partners to meet client needs Manage and contribute to tax planning and consulting engagements Drive process improvement and operational efficiency Support a paperless, tech-forward team environment Skills & Qualifications
7+ years of experience in personal and small business tax preparation and consulting Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license Knowledge of multi-state filings for individuals and small businesses Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Online Experience with CCH ProSystem FX and/or CCH Axcess is a plus Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a paperless environment, both independently and as part of a team Experience with IRS and State tax notice resolution About Angela T.
