IT’SUGAR is looking for a fun and dynamic Retail Assistant Store Manager to oversee store operations and ensure sales goals and operational objectives are met. What you’ll do
Act as Manager on Duty: oversee daily store operations and ensure sales objectives are met. Evaluate daily operations and initiate actions to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability. Hold self and staff accountable for achieving sales goals and metrics. Foster a productive work environment through coaching and training of Sales Associates. Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic attitude representative of IT’SUGAR core values. Follow our customer engagement model, SUGARTAINMENT. Promote safety for customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines. Partner with the store manager to identify challenges and present solutions. Recruit and backfill positions by networking internally and externally with qualified candidates and building relationships. Assist the Store Manager with selecting, training, and coaching Associates/Supervisors and ensure policies and procedures are followed. Respond to customer requests for specific items and suggest additional products. Use selling skills to explain benefits, features, prices, quality, and value of products. Establish a collaborative selling culture and ensure staff are trained in IT’SUGAR selling programs. Support Store Operations
Maintain cash handling records, reports, and opening/closing procedures. Review merchandise orders and inventory levels for accuracy and consistency. Merchandise and ensure displays follow visual guidelines. Capture customer information to enhance sales and maintain client files. Plan, coordinate, and set up special events and promotions. Communicate with associates regarding product recommendations to increase sales and inventory turnover. Understand Loss Prevention policies and communicate LP issues with the Store Manager. Maintain store cleanliness and basic facility upkeep (salesfloor/backroom/restroom maintenance, cleaning, mopping, etc.). Core Values

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: 2-3 years retail experience preferred; prior sales and management experience in retail preferred. Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to use a POS/cash register. Ability to stand and walk for long periods; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Able to lift/move up to 25 lbs independently; up to 50 lbs with assistance. Must be able to work alone or with minimal supervision. Benefits
