Director of Fundraising Location:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Director of Fundraising
to join our leadership team. This role is central to achieving our bold 2030 vision, as it drives the financial sustainability and growth of IAN. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of securing substantial resources from diverse sources and will act as a champion for IAN’s mission in global philanthropic and venture circles. Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that builds long-term, sustainable revenue. Cultivate relationships with donors, investors, corporations, and foundations in Africa and globally. Lead grant writing, proposals, and applications in collaboration with internal teams. Oversee the entire fundraising cycle, from research and prospecting to proposal development and deal closure. Represent IAN at global events, networks, and forums as a visible champion of our mission. Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to align fundraising with strategic priorities. Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and financial standards in all fundraising activities. Provide regular fundraising reports and insights to the board and executive team. Build and mentor a high-performing fundraising team. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Business, Nonprofit Management, or related fields. Proven senior fundraising experience, with demonstrated success in securing multimillion-dollar funding. Strong networks in philanthropy, venture capital, impact investing, and global donor communities. Track record of successful grant writing and strategic fundraising campaigns. Excellent relationship-building, communication, and storytelling skills. Experience in startup ecosystems, venture-driven organizations, or Africa-focused initiatives is a strong plus. Leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and external partners alike. Deep commitment to IAN’s mission and values. What We Offer
