Responsibilities Director of Rehabilitation Summary The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is responsible for managing and supervising the rehabilitation department to meet resident needs, the company’s fiscal requirements, and federal and state regulations. The DOR will achieve patient care, employee relations, customer service, and financial objectives through strong leadership and effective management of staff, customers, and referral sources. Maintains professional conduct and positive interactions with facilities and clients. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Assign patient scheduling and other responsibilities to staff as needed Supervise, orient, train, evaluate, and counsel department Team Members to improve performance and maintain high standards of patient care Assist with the interview process for hiring department Team Members Ensure compliance with Reliant Rehabilitation and facility policies and procedures Ensure therapists and therapy assistants are compliant with documentation in the medical record, including accuracy, governmental and third-party requirements, minimizing duplication, and reflecting patient status and outcomes Coordinate department functions with other services to promote teamwork Report to administration on department programs, goals, risks, and successes Communicate publicly regarding the therapy services offered by Reliant Rehabilitation Participate in utilization review, quality assurance, resident care conferences, admission meetings, department head meetings, community education planning, and rehabilitation conferences Responsible for revenue and expense controls to meet budgetary requirements Establish goals for the department and implement strategies to achieve success Ensure timely reporting of MDS information and billing of services Maintain quality of services and licensing requirements Enhance clinical and management skills through education and collaboration Maintain valid state license (where applicable) and stay aware of therapy profession issues Optimize patient outcomes by directing or supervising therapy when needed Qualifications Complete job description available upon request Senior/Employment Type/Job Function Seniority level: Director Employment type: Full-time Job function: Health Care Provider Industries: Hospitals and Health Care
