Senior Structural Field Engineer
to oversee steel and concrete construction activities on a large, complex project. You’ll provide technical direction to both direct-hire crews and subcontractors, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. Responsibilities
Supervise and support all structural steel and concrete work in the field. Coordinate work schedules, material deliveries, and ensure adherence to project timelines. Prepare work packages, field change documents, and as-built records. Perform field inspections, quantity take-offs, and progress forecasting. Resolve design and constructability issues with engineering teams. Review vendor drawings, support procurement, and ensure timely material delivery. Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred; equivalent experience accepted. 6–8 years of civil/structural field engineering experience. Experience with steel and concrete construction, preferably on Bechtel projects. Familiarity with Bechtel tools (e.g., ACONEX, TEAMWorks, eSub) is an asset. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in interpreting drawings, specifications, and using Microsoft Office. Environmental and Safety Solutions Inc.
