Industrial Engineering Manager
to oversee the reliability of all production equipment at our beverage manufacturing facility in
Houston, TX . This role will lead the engineering and maintenance team, ensure efficient plant operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Industrial Engineering Manager will be responsible for capital project execution, asset reliability, and maintenance strategies that optimize plant efficiency. This position works
first shift
but assumes full responsibility for a
5-day, 24-hour production operation . Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of
9+ employees , including maintenance supervisors and technicians. Oversee and optimize the plant's
capital spending program , including budgeting, planning, and execution of capital projects. Develop and implement
preventative maintenance programs
to ensure reliability and efficiency of production equipment and material handling systems. Control engineering, facility, and maintenance expenses while optimizing asset performance. Ensure that all plant equipment meets production needs by driving improvements in equipment reliability. Utilize
lean manufacturing principles
to improve plant designs, layouts, and operational processes. Establish and manage an
Asset Reliability Program
that includes best-in-class preventive maintenance schedules. Conduct
periodic inspections
of key utilities, including boilers, cooling towers, and chillers. Collaborate with plant leadership and key stakeholders to enhance overall plant efficiency and production capabilities. Manage the
installation and maintenance of plant assets
(building and equipment) to optimize their lifespan and value. Provide
technical and professional development
for the engineering and maintenance team. Qualifications
Master's Degree
in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities/Plant Management, or a related field. Proven experience leading
maintenance organizations
using lean manufacturing best practices. Experience with
CMMS software
for work order management (SAP preferred). Strong troubleshooting skills for plant manufacturing equipment and
PLC-controlled systems . Working knowledge of
PLC ladder logic and AutoCAD . Solid managerial experience with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
