Mechanical Design Engineer

Verito Solutions Inc . Location: Shelton, CT (must work onsite). Length of Assignment: 3-6 months. Manager is looking for a degreed mechanical design engineer with ideally 5+ years of experience. Candidate must have experience working in a New Product Development environment and with injection molded plastic parts, electro-mechanical assemblies, and moving mechanisms. Ideal candidate will have experience in the design and development of medical devices (not medical machinery). Candidate must have a Bachelors in Engineering and experience working with Solidworks. Experience from development of concept through to prototype is required (the company does not manufacture the product, only brings it through to prototype stage), as well as experience with testing and some analysis. Ideally the candidate will be local in CT, but candidates from out of state will be considered with willingness to come to CT for an interview.
Qualifications
Degreed Mechanical Design Engineer Bachelors in Engineering Experience with New Product Development (NPD) Experience with injection molded plastic parts Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and moving mechanisms Experience with design and development of medical devices (not medical machinery) Experience with Solidworks Experience from concept through prototype, including testing and some analysis Onsite work in Shelton, CT; local candidates preferred but out-of-state candidates will be considered for interview
