French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for our Mechanical Department in Wall, NJ. Responsibilities: Design HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, and municipal projects. Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and duct/piping design. Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other internal disciplines for integrated project delivery. Assist with client communication, project documentation, and construction administration, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs. Support sustainable and energy-efficient building system design initiatives. Contribute to technical problem-solving and project planning within a multi-disciplinary team. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3–5 years of professional experience in HVAC design. Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP). Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and industry standards. Effective communication and collaboration skills. EIT certification preferred Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a plus or in progress.
