Milbern Ray, a trusted, family-owned CPA firm based in Southlake, has proudly served clients for over 50 years. We’re looking for a full-time Senior Tax Accountant to join our dedicated and collaborative team.
What You’ll Do:
Prepare a wide range of tax returns including 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065.
Manage multi-state business tax returns with accuracy and confidence.
Provide bookkeeping support and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Review bank reconciliations, analyze general ledger transactions, make necessary adjustments, and update fixed asset records for accurate tax reporting.
Apply your knowledge of GAAP to ensure compliance and high-quality financial documentation.
Interact professionally with clients, answering tax-related questions and resolving issues effectively.
Support and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years of tax experience.
A proactive, teachable mindset with a positive, team-oriented approach.
Solid understanding of accounting practices and multi-state tax complexities.
Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
Experience in a public accounting firm is highly valued.
Familiarity with CCH ProSystem fx Tax and CCH Engagement is a plus, but not required.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Proven ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred).
CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Availability to work overtime from January 15 to April 15, with straight overtime pay for all additional hours.
