Overview

Knowesis is seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer to design, develop, and optimize secure, scalable database solutions supporting the DoD OIG’s mission. This role contributes to cloud modernization, data migration, and application sustainment efforts across classified and unclassified environments. Position:

Architect and implement database solutions supporting enterprise applications and analytics Develop data models, schemas, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines Optimize performance through indexing, partitioning, and query tuning Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams on integration and sustainment Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and RMF standards Document engineering processes and configuration baselines Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 7+ years of experience in database engineering or development Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) Experience with data modeling tools and performance tuning techniques Familiarity with DoD data security and RMF requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate Benefits
