Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100–$2250 per week Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/9/2026) Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Unit Unit Size: 14 beds (6 labor beds, 5 triage/inpatient beds, 2 OR beds) Nursing Shift: 12-hour day shifts Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed 34.5 hours/week) Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend (3 weekend shifts in a 4-week period) Orientation: 2-3 shifts, floor-specific orientation Scrub Color: Provided by hospital Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active New York RN license Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience, including high-risk OB patients Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) BSN preferred Strong clinical and customer service skills; ability to excel in a fast-paced healthcare setting Experience with C-sections, scrubbing, and caring for magnesium sulfate (mag) patients Proficiency in charting with Meditech, GE, and Epic electronic health record systems Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns Perform exams and full patient assessments Assist with C-sections and scrub procedures as needed Care for high-risk OB and mag patients Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including hospitalists, pharmacy, and respiratory therapy Float to OB or nursery for tasks (no patient assignments outside Labor & Delivery) Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech, GE, and Epic systems Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills Apply now
