The
Sr. Project Manager (Sr. PM)
is responsible for leading and overseeing multiple electrical installation projects in new residential construction from pre-construction through close-out. This position ensures operational excellence by managing budgets, schedules, workforce allocation, and safety compliance while delivering superior quality and client satisfaction. The Sr. PM provides leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Foremen, and field teams, collaborates with senior leadership to drive company objectives, and helps develop best practices that improve performance, safety, and profitability across all projects. Responsibilities
Direct multiple large-scale residential construction projects through all phases of planning, coordination, execution, and completion. Establish and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards in alignment with company goals. Oversee and support Project Managers and Field Supervisors to ensure consistent adherence to project scope, performance metrics, and client expectations. Lead pre-construction meetings, progress reviews, and post-project evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement. Serve as the primary liaison with general contractors, builders, and clients to ensure transparency and satisfaction. Operational Management & Documentation
Monitor project financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and job costing. Ensure timely preparation and submission of RFIs, RFQs, change orders, and close-out documentation. Oversee redline drawings, submittals, and field markups in coordination with the CAD/drafting department. Conduct regular site visits to evaluate work quality, safety compliance, and progress reporting. Identify project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies. Team Development & Mentorship
Mentor and coach Project Managers, Foremen, and field personnel to strengthen leadership, technical expertise, and productivity. Partner with HR and Training to develop and improve technical and management training programs. Lead recruitment and onboarding of project management and field supervision staff. Conduct performance evaluations and set measurable goals for direct reports. Safety, Quality, and Compliance
Ensure all operations comply with NEC standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies. Champion a safety-first culture and enforce accountability across all levels of the organization. Collaborate with Safety and Quality teams to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. Maintain high standards for workmanship, professionalism, and site organization. Qualifications
Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in residential or electrical construction project management, with at least 3 years in a senior or multi-project leadership role. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred. Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects, budgets, and field operations. Strong knowledge of job costing, scheduling, safety compliance, and quality assurance. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Procore, Buildertrend, or equivalent project management platforms preferred. Must possess strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with construction tools and electrical systems. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company driving and background standards. Physical & Mental Requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines with professionalism. Willingness to travel to job sites within the assigned region. Flexibility to adjust schedule for emergencies, project demands, or client meetings. Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence. Other
