We’re hiring a
Project Engineer
to lead the technical execution of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects for hyperscale and enterprise data center clients. This role involves hands-on coordination across design, engineering, construction, and commissioning phases. If you have deep experience in BESS and a strong foundation in electrical systems integration, we’d love to connect. Key Responsibilities
Drive engineering execution from development through commissioning of BESS projects. Serve as the technical liaison for project managers, clients, and contractors. Coordinate with internal EPC teams to meet project milestones. Collaborate with OEMs, EPCs, and consultants to integrate BESS into data center infrastructure. Review system designs and vendor submittals for compliance and quality. Prepare specifications and procurement documents for electrical equipment. Conduct power system studies (short circuit, load flow, arc flash) using ETAP. Support site walks, installation, commissioning, and FAT/SAT activities. Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and internal standards. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field, or equivalent experience. 5–7 years of project engineering experience. 2–3 years of direct BESS experience, including commissioning. Willingness to travel up to 30% across the U.S. Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) License. Salary up to $170,000 annually Location: Houston, TX or Washington, DC area Seniority level
