We are seeking a skilled
Project Engineer
to support the planning, execution, and delivery of BESS projects for hyperscale and enterprise data center clients. This role is ideal for a technically proficient engineer with a strong background in BESS and electrical systems integration, who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead engineering execution of BESS projects from development through commissioning. Serve as the technical liaison for project managers, clients, and contractors. Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction) to meet project milestones. Collaborate with EPCs, OEMs, and design consultants to integrate BESS with data center infrastructure. Review and validate system designs (electrical, civil, mechanical) and vendor submittals. Develop single‑line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams for battery storage systems. Prepare specifications, data sheets, and procurement documents for electrical equipment. Conduct power system studies (short circuit, load flow, arc flash) using tools like ETAP. Support site walks, installation, commissioning, and FAT/SAT activities. Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and internal standards.
Must-Have Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field, or equivalent industry experience. 5–7 years of project engineering experience. 2–3 years of hands‑on BESS project execution and commissioning experience. Willingness to travel up to 30% across the U.S.
Nice to Have Professional Engineer (PE) License
Salary up to $170k annually
