$17.95 Hourly Position Summary
The full time Museum Store Associate is a very friendly, positive team member and a contributing asset to our highly acclaimed gift shop. In sharing your exceptional customer service skills with our diverse, global clientele, the Museum Store Associate will be responsible for supporting the gift shop’s day-to-day operations. Duties And Responsibilities
Provide outstanding customer service to our museum guests. Greet and engage our diverse clientele, assisting in their selection process to ensure a memorable experience. Perform various sales and register transactions with ease. Facilitate mail orders cultivated from our website. Routinely organize, straighten, and refilling product on the sales floor. Support merchandising of our exclusive and meticulously selected retail. Assist with back-stock organization to safeguard balanced inventory levels. Ensure all safety policies, rules, and procedures are followed. Interact professionally as part of a team with all staff. Promote our exhibits and encourage guests to become members of the museum. Other duties as needed. Education/Qualifications/Skills Requirements
High School degree/GED equivalent Qualifications
One to three years of previous retail/sales experience Outstanding verbal communication skills Exceptional customer service skills Excellent judgment A desire to serve, assist, and help others Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends Passionate about the Bible and committed to engaging with the mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible Skills
Previous experience in hospitality, museum, or customer-facing roles is preferred High energy level and strong interpersonal skills A friendly spirit and willingness to engage with the public Work Environment
Stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) Lift up to 30 lbs. for short periods Squat bending at the knees Seniority level
