Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Strategic Engagement, this position serves as a VIP Tours associate for our VIP and major donor visits. This individual will communicate an in-depth understanding of the mission of the Museum including exhibit content, guest traffic patterns, attractions, theater productions, and Museum products and services. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for administrative duties aligned with the VIP department such as arranging and coordinating VIP tours and special experiences and related data entry. This position will be expected to consistently demonstrate adaptability to the needs of the Museum's special guests and donors, while demonstrating integrity and dependability in all aspects of the role.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work with the Director of Strategic Engagement
Arrange and execute VIP and major donor visits
Lead VIP tours
One or more tours will be provided daily*
Input and track data pertaining to VIP and donor visits into SalesForce
Assist with special events and on-site production when needed
Other duties as assigned
Our ideal candidate will be teachable and able to research and memorize information pertaining to current and future exhibits and artifacts. Your role will be one of the most public-facing roles of the Museum, so we will rely on you often to consistently lead your tours in a manner specific to the mission and vision of the Museum within the brand and voice of the Museum.
Qualifications & Requirements Knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Art, Marketing, Theater, Hospitality Management, Development, or related field.
Certifications in hospitality, public speaking, development, public relations, or pertinent to public-facing roles.
At least two or more years in public speaking roles or interfacing with groups of varying sizes.
Skills / Core Competencies
Rich knowledge and affinity for the Bible and biblical history.
Great attitude and the ability to demonstrate flexibility in all situations.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills. Exceptional organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and manage multiple projects.
Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated natural diplomacy with the ability to understand and execute a professional poise, while demonstrating integrity and adaptability.
Abilities / Attributes
Able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Standing, walking, and navigating stairs for extended periods of time and lift 10 lbs.
Able to speak at normal volume to a group for each VIP tour.
Champion the Museum of the Bible’s mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible.
Ability to hold confidential information and visits in the highest regard.
As required, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests.
Great attitude and flexibility in all situations.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
Demonstrated natural diplomacy with the ability to understand and execute a professional poise, while demonstrating integrity and adaptability.
Professional experience in the non-profit sector.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Prior experience in Salesforce is preferred.
