Load Balance/F5 Engineer role at Jobs via Dice. This position is focused on supporting Load Balancing infrastructure, primarily with F5 LTM/GTM and related technologies. Responsibilities
Provide support for the Load Balancing infrastructure and services. Build relationships with the Line of Businesses (LOB) and be a member of a global team of load balancing engineers. Improve and maintain the Service Request Fulfillment (SRF) process and standards as part of a larger team responsible for the health and welfare of the Load Balancing infrastructure. Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of F5 LTM and GTM experience. 1 or more years of F5 APM and ASM experience. 1 or more years of AVI/VMware experience. CCNP, F5 201, and/or demonstrate equivalent work experience. Ability to effectively troubleshoot advanced networking issues in a complex environment with knowledge of commonly used protocols (BGP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, SSL). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; ability to collaborate with other technical areas to define complex configuration designs. Subject matter expertise of load balancer, DNS, SSL off loader; functional understanding of F5 iControl API and application integration. Expertise in application switching and traffic management; deep knowledge of application requirements (persistence), SSL offload, SSL certificate and Key management, web acceleration, and TCP optimization. Understanding of SSL Certificate PKI in SSL certificate and KEY management and rollover processes. Experience planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level network security technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present at an executive level. Experience managing large, globally dispersed teams of engineers. 5-7+ years network engineering and/or technology management experience. Ability to interact with clients at all levels. Desired Qualifications
Experience with root cause analysis, risk mitigation, security assessments, and analysis of security threats and architecture. Functional knowledge of F5 advanced feature modules including Web Accelerator, Application Security Module, and Application Policy Module. ITIL knowledge; ITIL Certification preferred. Python development and Bash scripting experience. Experience with mitigation methods including network packet filters and iRules. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. Expert Level Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be specific to elections, plan, or program terms.
