Manufacturing Engineering Resource Programmer III - DSC at

is a role focused on the effective design of manufacturing resources including Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) numerical controlled (NC) programs, Manufacturing Computer Aided Design (MCAD) tools/fixtures, loft patterns, and operational models with associated 2D drawings. Requires knowledge of shop production and processing operations. Works in accordance with management strategies and program and departmental processes and procedures. May train one or more employees. Responsibilities
Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures as necessary to perform assigned work. Provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences as required. Provide process liaison support for manufacturing operations when MCAD models with 2D drawings exist as required. Develop, create and maintain tooling/fixture definitions for manufacturing operations for all media types including MCAD and manual legacy designs. Execute creation and maintenance of CAM programs and operator instructions for Numerical Controlled equipment. Responsible for developing, creating, and maintaining Loft MCAD models, flat patterns, and associated digital tooling programs. Maintain working knowledge of NC programming, Loft, Engineering, Tool Design, Manufacturing, and Planning processes and procedures. Apply knowledge of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances. Support producibility assessments when requested. Maintain records and schedules of work assigned; meet established cost, schedule, and quality requirements. Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as determined by management. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external customers. Apply extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge and be prepared to train, direct, instruct, and check/validate Production Engineering work. Attend training and complete competency-based testing as required to remain current with technological advancements. Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Two (2) years of college or three (3) years of experience in the aircraft industry or completed related Bell apprentice program. Demonstrated capability to adequately perform essential functions related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances. Skills & Requirements:
