About the Role Via Logic LLC is seeking a
Platform Engineer
to support the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise on-premises and hybrid systems. This position provides hands-on experience working alongside senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, automate platform tasks, and contribute to system integration across Windows and Linux environments. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a passion for learning modern cloud and infrastructure technologies.
Core Responsibilities
Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise systems and servers (Windows & Linux).
Support deployment and monitoring of applications and infrastructure components in hybrid environments.
Participate in troubleshooting and performance-tuning efforts to improve system reliability and efficiency.
Contribute to automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Learn and assist in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Document system configurations, runbooks, and operational processes.
Collaborate with senior engineers to implement platform improvements and apply best practices in security and performance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
3-6 years of IT or systems administration experience (internship, co-op, or full-time).
Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments.
Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
Exposure to virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn.
U.S. Citizenship required (Public Trust eligibility).
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Understanding of networking fundamentals and security concepts.
Coursework or internship experience in automation or DevOps tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
