The Quality Control Lead for Electrical is responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of quality and code compliance are upheld throughout all phases of Electrical system implementation on the project. This role requires daily on-site engagement, including pre-inspections, verification of installation and testing, and thorough documentation to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards. The Quality Control Lead represents Hensel Phelps and our Electrical trade partners in coordination with the owner''s inspection staff and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). The role includes scheduling inspections, resolving issues, and verifying corrective actions through direct field verification and proper documentation. Involvement spans startup through final turnover, with detailed daily reports submitted to the Quality Control Manager. The position supports the six-step quality and safety process, participates in preparatory meetings, coordinates third-party inspections, audits trade partner quality procedures, and maintains a focus on delivering project quality and issue resolution." Position Qualifications

Required: A 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering with a professional engineer’s license in the state of California and/or a licensed master electrician. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Control, installation, and inspection of Electrical systems in airport terminal electrical construction, including high/low voltage, F/L/S, and information technology systems at a commercial carrier airport. Preferred Certifications: Must be technically experienced and capable of understanding specifications, standards, and code requirements related to Electrical disciplines. Valid Driver’s License. Strong communication skills. Computer software proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel templates), Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD. Essential Duties

Interface daily with Electrical trade partners, owner’s inspection staff, and AHJs to ensure all work complies with contract documents, specifications, and codes. Conduct daily on-site pre-inspections of Electrical work scopes to verify installation and testing requirements per project specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with Electrical trade partners to participate in issue resolution and ensure timely identification, communication, and closure of field challenges to maintain schedule and quality. Identify field issues related to Electrical systems and track deficiencies noted by the AHJ; verify corrective actions through field verification and thorough documentation. Participate in all phases of Electrical system implementation: startup, material verification, installation, testing, and inspection; ensure work aligns with contract documents and applicable codes. Provide daily reports to the Quality Control Manager detailing inspection activities, issue tracking/resolution, coordination with trade partners and AHJs, and overall compliance. Support shop fabrication and inspection visits to ensure Electrical systems meet project specifications and codes prior to installation. Participate in start-up, final testing, and commissioning of Electrical systems. Engage in the six-step quality control/safety process for Electrical scope, including site-specific quality program documentation; participate in weekly QC and trade partner foreman meetings as directed. Assist with preparatory meeting agendas and maintain the project quality process log (QPL). Interface with owner''s quality assurance and management on all quality-related issues. Participate in all Electrical initial, follow-up, and close-in inspections and review associated reports. Receive trade partner test and inspection requests and coordinate a test/inspection schedule. Document and submit daily quality control activity reports for the Electrical scope. Audit trade partner quality control procedures and report chronic issues to upper management. Assist in selecting outside testing contractors and coordinate third-party testing agency activities and source inspections. Compensation

Salary range: $150,000.00 - $300,000.00 (Southern California). Benefits and EEO
