Overview

Location: Topeka or Kansas City (In Person). Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Address options include 3035 SW Topeka Blvd or 16201 W. 95th Street, Topeka, KS 66611 and Lenexa, KS 66219. Role: Responsible for conducting high-level analyses of commercial/business loans. This description may be updated at any time with or without notice. Responsibilities

Review credit data to evaluate commercial/business loan requests to approve or deny applications and review existing credit relationships for ongoing credit worthiness. Analyze sources of financial information to determine potential risks of a loan. Prepare written credit presentations for submission to Officers and committees. Analyze financial and other credit-related information to assess financial condition and risk of financing requests, including commercial, construction, real estate and consumer, within the Bank’s credit standards; apply accounting acumen and financial expertise to spread financial data and interpret resulting metrics used in credit decisions. Use independent judgment to identify key strengths and weaknesses of a wide variety of credit types. Understand financing products and how they meet borrower needs. Assist in the preparation of credit presentations through formal financial analysis, industry peer analysis, collateral analysis, market data gathering, personal credit report analysis, and other relevant analyses. Follow Bank policies and procedures. Assist in training junior Credit Analysts in interpretation of financial statements and related analyses. Provide quality service to internal customers through undertaking risk assessment analyses of lending proposals. Possess a working knowledge of Sageworks software used to perform analysis and prepare credit submissions. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant job experience. Experience and training in financial statement and tax return analysis. Basic knowledge of commercial, construction, real estate, and consumer lending. Skills & Abilities: Thorough understanding of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) and the ability to analyze and interpret the content. Basic knowledge of state and federal loan regulations and Bank lending policies. Excellent time management with ability to manage multiple deadlines with limited supervision and strong analytical thinking. Dedicated, goal-oriented, energetic self-starter. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Competencies:
